Exploring Ice!

I love doing sensory play so when I noticed that it was going to be in the freezing temps this week I decided to freeze some ice outside. I poured different colors of paint, brought out our magnet blocks and some hammers and tools.

We talked about how cold the ice is and what happens to water when it freezes. They noticed different colors it was making on the ice, so we talked about when two colors are mixed they make a new color.

During Cleanup time we wash our hands, lets just say this is what happens when you have older friends that turn on the water for you, and some can't even make it to the bathroom because they are so tired from all that playing...

Yesterday we had fun with a snowflake cookie cutter, we made big snowflakes on our papers.

We really love doing puzzles!
