Busy Boys!

We got out the pretend hair dressing tools yesterday and had a blast doing each others hair. I ended up buying more accessories for the boys including a hair dryer, razor, pretend scissors, and a cologne spray bottle.

We've been reading lots of books lately, and i'm so happy to read to them throughout the day. They all have their favorites. One of the books we read was the Magic Snowman. And what happens to the snowman when he drinks something hot he melts. They were really confused why our snowman got smaller so I just told them he drank something hot. We had fun painting with cotton balls and making snowballs.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful Christmas gifts and gift cards to Amazon. I was able to purchase some fun things for our downstairs play area. Including my parents who purchased a basketball hoop and more trikes to ride on. Important skill to work on, by summertime we should all be able to ride them outside.

Unwrapping Fun!

Santa came during breakfast time today, We all noticed when we went upstairs to wash our hands.

Unwrapping presents also develops great fine motor skills, so encourage your child to rip the paper they all loved finding the treasures wrapped underneath the foil.

The highlights were chocolate bars, candy canes, glowsticks, more magnetic blocks and a bottle of soap for our bathroom!

After we played for a while with all the new stuff we tasted candy canes. I showed them how to lick it but I don't think most of them liked it by their expressions but because it was candy they wouldn't let me throw it out. Luckily they let me when I said lets go use our new soap!

Right before lunch time we got to watch a christmas movie in the living room. Mickey Mouse saves Santa! They all sat for about fifteen minutes without hitting each other and taking each other's blankets and that's a record!

This afternoon we will celebrate with christmas cupcakes, play outside and pass out goodie bags to our friends!

Just a busy day at Becky's Blessings!

Oh, how much I have missed going outside with my kids! We finally made it outside this morning and perhaps will go out again this afternoon now that our mittens and hats are dried off. Although, it did take us about 30 minutes for 15 minutes of playtime. Lots of crying, lots of taking their mittens, hats and boots off after dressing each child. Thankfully Wade can dress himself like a big boy, but we managed to get up and going. Although you will probably notice that your child has on different mittens or hats that is simply because I we needed to go outside and it was causing some over done drama!

After we came in from outside they were still bursting with energy so we had art time, finger painting is the best!

Cleanup is always a fun time too, that just means lots of soapy bubbles!

When it's more quiet time we learn different things. We will begin having more of a small group in the mornings in afternoons starting in January.
